Q: How do I mount this glare shield hood?

The Swamp Eye HD Glare Shield Hood aligns with the screws on your Swamp Eye HD polycarbonate lens cover. Simply remove the screws in these mounting holes and reinstall them with this cover going over the top of the polycarbonate lens.

Q: Does this reduce brightness?

No. It does the opposite—by blocking wasted upward and outward light, more usable light enters the water.

Q: Can I install this on other light brands?

It is designed specifically for the Swamp Eye HD housing. The Swamp Eye HDs are custom built by us, from the ground up.

Q: Will this help avoid lighting up docks, homes, or shorelines?
